The Actuarial community at QBE Insurance is full of experienced professionals who are incredibly passionate and dedicated to making a significant contribution to the way we operate our business.
In this role, you may also be responsible for:
- Pricing support for designated products, managing stakeholder relationships and product performance.
- Developing solutions to proactively assist in monitoring portfolio performance and emerging trends
- Build complex models using standard pricing techniques, including, but not limited to GLMs, Machine Learning, Price Simulation and Rate Setting
- Understand the impact of pricing reviews on the performance KPIs of various business units
- Manage allocated projects or assignments, including pricing processes for allocated products
- Recognize lead indicators of performance and have sound understanding of the impact of different drivers and actions on profit and volume outcomes
- Continually seek to improve processes within work scope, and provide input into design, build and testing process improvements or new process builds
- Daytoday management of actuarial analysts
About you
To be successful you will have....
- Strong experience in a similar role or Senior Level Actuarial position
- Background in General Insurance pricing
- Ability to analyse, interpret and extrapolate statistical and technical pricing data from a number of sources and resolve complex issues
- Ability to communicate complicated concepts verbally and in writing in a simple, professional manner
- Proficiency in commonly used actuarial and pricing software packages
- Bachelors degree in actuarial or mathematically focused area
- Leadership and People management exposure preferred but not essential
