As part of the Faculty, you will have specialist skills and experience in teaching English in line with the Australian Curriculum, specifically teaching TASC English Literature, Year 9 English and Year 9/10 Creative Writing as part of your load.

Teaching staff need to be involved in the wider life of the School and hold a willingness to participate fully in the School's co-curricular program.
Teaching staff are expected to work as collaborative team players and to positively contribute to the teaching, learning and spiritual culture of the School that contribute towards the Mission, Purpose and Values of the School.
- Bachelor of Education and or other equivalent academic qualification specific to the specialist area of education and Tasmanian teacher registration.
- Experience teaching at a pretertiary level.
- A passion for working with young people and the ability to engage and challenge them in a dynamic learning environment;
- A comprehensive understanding of current educational matters, including the Australian Curriculum;
- Demonstrated innovation in the teaching of curriculum and student learning;
- Outstanding classroom practice and comprehensive experience using Information Technology within the teaching and learning program;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to interact effectively with a range of school community members;
- A commitment to the principles of equal opportunity in education for all students; and
- A willingness to work within the School's Christian ethos and actively support the values and philosophy of the School.

Remuneration
Remuneration is in accordance with the successful applicant's experience and the St Michael's Collegiate School (Teachers) Enterprise Agreement 2020.

- Hold registration with the Tasmanian Teachers Registration Board (TRB);
- Hold and maintain a current Tasmanian Working With Vulnerable Persons check (RWVP);

- Undertake mandatory child safety training
