As a Fruit & Veg Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting fresh produce to various destinations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the quality and freshness of the products.

Your role will involve loading and unloading delivery vehicles, navigating delivery routes, and providing excellent customer service to clients upon delivery.

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, such as trucks or vans, to transport fruits and vegetables to customers' locations.
• Load and unload produce from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit.
• Verify delivery instructions and addresses before departing for each delivery route.
• Plan delivery routes using GPS navigation or route maps to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
• Drive defensively and adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.
• Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors to provide updates on delivery progress, delays, or any issues encountered during transportation.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients upon delivery, assisting with unloading produce if needed, and addressing any questions or concerns.
• Inspect delivery vehicles regularly for maintenance issues or safety concerns and report any problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, quantities, and any issues or discrepancies encountered.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards during transportation and handling of produce to ensure the freshness and quality of the products.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff and other team members to ensure efficient loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to vehicle operation, safety, and customer service.

• Valid driver's license.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably in the food industry.
• Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns in the delivery area.
• Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety on the road.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading deliveries.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow delivery instructions accurately.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling perishable goods is desirable.
