    A role with unique responsibilities
    As the Head Genetic Counsellor, you will be responsible for overseeing all genetic counselling services at Monash IVF Group including Ultrasound for Women clinics. Specifically, for those patients undertaking genetic testing across various reproductive stages including pre-conception, IVF and prenatal. With exceptional care and support, you will work closely with your team to positively enhance the patient experience. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Leading and influencing the strategic direction of Genetic Counselling within the Group, including policy direction, staff development, and compliance.
    • Providing genetic counselling services to patients following established protocols and managing patient outcomes
    • Ensuring exceptional patient experience through clear communication and tailored information delivery
    • Collaborating within the Group to foster clinical and peer partnerships in order to enhance collaborative operations
    • Ensuring your team maintain clinical excellence, compliance, and governance standards.
    • Exploring and implementing Opportunities for continuous improvement


    Are you the ideal candidate for us?
    Understanding there are ups and down in reproductive health, a Genetic Counsellor will be sensitive to the needs of patients. Ideally you will have the following:

    • Post Graduate qualification in Genetic Counselling (essential)
    • HGSA Certification in Genetic Counselling (FHGSA) (essential)
    • HGSA & ASGC Membership (essential)
    • Understanding of clinical/gynaecological/obstetric services or strong willingness to learn
    • Demonstrated relevant experience in all facets of genetic counselling with a focus on prenatal and reproductive genetics
    • Strong organisational skills with exceptional time management and attention to detail
    • Proficiency in healthcare software, and strong computer skills
    • A willingness to embrace the Monash IVF Group Principles – Care, Collaborate, Communicate, Commitment, Create
