Monash Health is excited to announce a permanent
Genetic Counsellor position within its
General Genetics Department, located at
Monash Medical Centre Clayton.
You will provide genetic counselling to a variety of clients for a wide range of genetic conditions.
About our General Genetics Department at Monash Health
About The Role
About You:
- You have completed a Master of Genetic Counselling Course, with experience working as a GC, ideally in prenatal genetics as well.
- You have a good knowledge and understanding of genetic counselling, including medical, genetic and psychosocial aspects.
- You have demonstrated clinical placement experience in the provision of genetic counselling. You have excellent written and verbal, English communication skills.
- You thrive working in a fast paced environment as part of a multidisciplinary team and are a considerate and collaborative team member.
- You are a proficient computer user, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new programs quickly.
- You will also need to have Australian working rights.
