The purpose of this role is to build relationships with a defined portfolio of small and medium enterprise customers, acting as the main point of contact for all account needs and providing an exceptional customer experience.

Via a telephone account management model, drive the retention and renewal of existing business through proactive and ongoing customer engagement.

Responsibilities:

Establish and/or maintain a direct relationship, primarily through telephone contact, with defined customer base to understand their business goals, needs and issues
Develop ongoing customer engagement/account plans and proritise portfolio of customers
Drive marketing activities and work with customers to propose suitable products, services and upgrades to maintain and grow revenue
Identify and win new business through sustained contact with the customer, and by building a sales pipeline and opportunity management
Successful completion of sales administration activities to enable tracking of customer interactions and engagement

Skills:

Ability to be persistent and answer objections
Ability to connect with people via phone
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Good research skills and the ability to translate information into resonating statements
Highly organised and timely with follow up
Ability to ensure consistency of standards/procedures and promote efficiencies
Negotiation, conflict management skills
