The Project Controller is responsible for providing project support for projects such as Project Sunrise (A350 aircraft delivery program) and Project Winton (A220 and A321XLR aircraft delivery programs).

The role will provide the required governance in purchasing and documentation as the projects enter their next critical phase.

The Project Controller will operate as part of a broader team reporting to the Design and Programs, Manager PMO/Project Managers and working closely with Project Engineers.


  • Working with the Project Manager to develop purchasing schedules to meet project requirements and demands;
  • Raising Purchase Orders (POs) for project nonrecurring engineering, kits, parts and materials, in line with the purchasing schedule;
  • Ensuring appropriate documentation, certificates and shipping information is correct to facilitate ordering, receipting and shipping;
  • Managing schedule conflicts in conjunction with the Project Managers in line with portfolio risks and timelines.
You'll have

  • Previous experience in a business administration, project management or product development role (airline experience desirable).
  • Strong communication, influential and organisational skills.
  • The ability to demonstrate good negotiation skills and be commercially and organisationally aware.
  • The ability to manage Project documentation, governance and reporting
  • Good financial management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of motivation and capability to work under pressure.
  • The ability to engage and coordinate with team members and work as part of a team
  • The ability to provide positive customer experience
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience with Qantas iProcurement and iSupplier (desirable).
