The Assistant Manager, Trade & Supply Chain is critical to making this happen and will be reporting to the Associate Director of Trade and Supply Chain Sales for Queensland.

You will be accountable for providing Trade & Supply Chain ("TSC") financing and risk mitigation solutions for the Institutional, Corporate and Commercial clients within Queensland.


You will be required to assist in the growth of the state's financial performance and business development of the wider portfolio, with oversight in the delivery of all elements of the end-to-end Trade & Supply Chain proposition across new and existing clients.

The role will have a strong client focus across a range of client segments within the bank and you will also assist in the development of the state's strong growth agenda and collaboration with the wider TB team in achieving this.


Activities and tasks within the role will include significant involvement on a portfolio of material clients within the Guarantee and Export transactional business.

There will also be a requirement for assistance with client lead generation through strategic analysis of markets and industry research and data.


Other core activities involve an analysis of client financials and transaction data to facilitate development of appropriate TSC client solution design, compilation of sales pitches, client specific portfolio reviews, assisting on live deals within the team and general day-to-day portfolio, pipeline and risk management tasks.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Good understanding of Financial Risk Management and Working Capital Financing at both financial and operational levels; relevant experience in Trade and Supply Chain Finance is not mandatory however experience in a range of banking products is crucial with strong desire to learn and develop in Transaction Banking sales teams
Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to identify key business drivers and mitigate key risks and make recommendations where appropriate
Solid presentation skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage conflicting priorities
Happy to work in a team based environment working towards a mutual goal
Customer focused mindset with a desire to deliver outstanding service levels
A demonstrated ongoing eagerness to learn and a focus on continued development
Familiarity across a number of ANZ's technology systems and platforms
Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics or Law

You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
