About the role

At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive. We're making this happen by improving the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our customers so they can achieve incredible things
- whether they're buying a home, building a business or saving for things big or small.

As a Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for building and supporting relationships with an allocated portfolio of Aggregators and Brokers, and the achievement of segmented sales targets and portfolio growth in line with Retail Broker's strategic direction.

With a focus on virtual (remote) engagement, you are required to develop an understanding of Aggregator and Brokers businesses and opportunities to develop and execute effective strategies to increase Broker utilisation of ANZ and improve performance through targeted Broker education and training, whilst balancing sound risk management practices.

Your role will be responsible for:
Building effective relationships with Aggregators and Brokers to drive business growth in line with Retail Broker's strategic direction.

  • Proactively developing and maintaining an understanding of Brokers' businesses and promoting Retail Broker's service proposition, with a focus on targeted virtual (remote) engagement.

Identification and prospecting of opportunity brokers currently disengaged with ANZ, through use of effective rapport building and relationship management techniques.

Effective use of available data and reporting to draw insights and inform sales strategies from a portfolio level through to the individual Broker level.

Support the onboarding process for new to industry and new to ANZ accredited Brokers, including initiating and establishing relationships.
Support case by case Broker accreditation escalations, including broker transfers and new accreditations.

Monitoring and managing own Brokers portfolio KPIs including identifying areas for growth and quality improvement, including identification of Broker up tiering opportunities in line with business strategy.

Conduct targeted education and training with aligned Broker portfolio and Aggregator group(s), in line with agreed channel
standards.

Active participation in the delivery of localised Aggregator and ANZ sponsored events to ensure effective ANZ representation and deepening of relationships with target Brokers.

Build and maintain effective business partnerships with key internal stakeholders including Customer Service Operations (CSO) and Australia Branch Network (ABN) teams that support the end-to-end home loan proposition for Brokers.

Ensure adherence to ANZ polices, processes and external regulatory requirements as applicable.
