Due to on-going growth we require a National Operations Manager to provide leadership, management and oversee all branch operations nationally.


31st July, 2023:

This national role will see you provide leadership, management and oversee all branch operations. This is a critical role and member of the Coxons Group Australia's Senior Leadership Team.

The National Operations Manager is accountable for all facets of the branches performance including culture, safety, quality, productivity and financial outcomes.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Safety leadership and management including attending safety meetings, performing safety inspections and observations, participating in investigations, driving continuous improvement, leading the rollout of new safety initiatives and ensuring consistency and enforcing adherence to the safety management system.
  • Quality leadership and management including assisting with quality investigations, spotchecking critical project quality hold points, driving continuous improvement initiatives and projects, designing and implementing new quality processes and ensuring consistency and enforcing adherence to the quality management system.
  • Operational Financial and Productivity performance management including setting and reviewing branch budgets and targets, defining financial and operational objectives, overseeing profit and loss and identifying cost reduction initiatives.
  • People management including ensuring that the branch organisational structures, policies and procedures support the company's strategic direction in a way that enables all employees to work effectively, efficiently and harmoniously.
  • Continuous improvement and operational excellence including standardisation of operations across branches, overseeing and making decisions relating to the scope of works used on rebuilds and improving plans and schedules.
  • Organisational change management including planning and overseeing changes to production, distribution, supply, etc.
  • Operations management including overseeing efficient planning, adequate supply and allocation of resources to ensure adherence to timeframes, budget, quality and safety expectations.
  • Communication leadership including briefing employees on current goals, objectives and targets, Coxons Group Australia's vision and values, change management occurrences and other relevant information.
  • Providing leadership, coaching, training, performance management and support to the Operations Managers.
  • Systems management including timely closure of jobs and documents.
  • Approvals of quotes, expenditure and reports.
  • Preparation of major quotes in consultation with relevant parties.
  • Formulating strategic and operational objectives.
  • Drafting business cases and job forecasting.
  • Attendance and reporting at management meetings.
  • Commitment and promotion of company beliefs, values and employee engagement.
