About the Role
Project Management- Take lead role in Commissioning Management of assigned projects to time, cost, and quality requirements.

Assist the Engineering Team during project delivery whilst considering time, cost, and quality requirements.
Liaise with Client customers to ensure that all services and tasks are completed to a high standard and to the satisfaction of the Client and Managing Directors.

Business Development- Support the Client in pursuing new project opportunities as they arise, including preparing tender submissions and proposals with the assistance of other staff as required.

Support the Client in winning work and exploring new project opportunities and Clients.
Assist the Client in the development of a team focused on all aspects of the Owner and Developer side work for generation, high voltage transmission and distribution projects.
Assist the Client in the development of Design, Construct and Commissioning teams.
Undertake the required billable work and assist in the supervision and guidance of junior engineering and technician level personnel.

Team Development

Assist the Client in the development of a team focused on all aspects of the Owner and Developer side work for generation, high voltage transmission and distribution projects.
Assist the Client in the development of Design, Construct and Commissioning teams.
Undertake the required billable work and assist in the supervision and guidance of junior engineering, drafting and technician personnel.

Technical Delivery- Assist with the technical delivery of projects assigned to you, including understanding technical deliverables and taking responsibility for the completion of the deliverable.

Safety- Ensure all Client works are managed safely and meet legislative, client and project requirements.

Business Improvement- Provide continual improvement in documents, systems, and processes with the goal to meet client and ISO requirements.

Manage Client expectations regarding timing of submission of deliverables for all assigned projects. Attendance at internal management meetings where you will be required to provide inputs into the Clients program of works in order for the business to prioritise works.

The Technical Side- Provide Commissioning Management on activities relating to HV Pre-commissioning, HV Energisation and R1/R2 on renewable energy projects (with a focus on electricity network connections).

Provide the central point of leadership, direction, and control for all assigned projects which will include attending and leading project pulse meetings and managing and communicating project Issues to stakeholders and maintaining management registers.
Manage multiple projects including scoping, resource management, scheduling and having oversight of and accountability for resolving issues and where necessary making strategic decisions to progress projects and keep delivery in with time, cost, and quality targets.
Review, preparation, and delivery of commissioning documentation for renewable energy projects as required.
Provide project controls including QA, document control and the like (including other project related documents likely to be expected to be required by clients during project delivery).
Provide project reporting in alignment with the project commercial requirements. This will likely include cost management (timesheeting and invoicing) for the projects delegated to be under your management.
Provide engineering / technical advice to project stakeholders as required.
Undertake and lead Hold Point testing enablement activities.
Undertake and lead Hold Point testing as required and manage the data (downloading PQZip files, creating CSV files) required as inputs which the Engineering team use to write reports.

Key Criteria

Electrical Fitter Mechanic License (QLD mandatory with other states desirable).
Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering / Management / Project Management or equivalent.
HV Switching National Accreditation (desirable) or has the ability to obtain (if required).
