Metso Outotec is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our new workshop in Forrestfield.


RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:

Take ownership and responsibility of team as defined
Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean working environment by setting and driving 5S standards. Implement corrective actions to improve the safety of the work environment.
Accountable for improvement of Safety, Working environment and Quality according to Metso Outotec routines and legislation.
Perform Quality Control checks of incoming and outgoing products as and when required.
Set goals/targets for performance and organize production activities ensuring objectives and schedules are achieved within required time frames.
Optimizing current processes and implementing continuous improvement activity.
Perform daily Work Order confirmations via SAP.
Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
Collaborate with Team Leaders, other Supervisors and Departments to optimize production by identifying & resolving inefficiencies & bottlenecks.
Accountable for maintaining and ordering satisfactory levels of factory consumables.
Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
Together with maintenance plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules.
Receive complaints and resolve problems.
Help build a strong culture of continuous improvement.
Accountable for team members having correct and up to date training and inductions completed.
Maintain timekeeping and personnel records.
Prepare and submit performance reports.
Monitor and check health and wellbeing of all subordinates
Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa.
Attend and participate in meeting as and when required.
Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises.


TO SUCCEED:

Essential

Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role

Ability to plan, direct, and monitor all production activities within the process area to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet established production specifications and schedules; safety, quality, volume and efficiency, cost, people.

Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines
Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Forklift License
Dogging and Rigging License
Diploma/Certificate in first line management or relevant field
Very good at empowering people to make people act
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management

Desirable

SAP Experience
Good knowledge of MS Office
