Introduction

We are seeking a Trainee, Crusher Wears to join our Consumables team.

The Crusher Wears business line provides customer value focused crusher wears solutions to mining and aggregates customers.

Through our strong presence and a continuous improvement approach we want to stay relevant to our customers long-term and thereby become a preferred wear management partner.

The engineering and RTD division are responsible for the engineering, RTD, and chamber optimization work and processes.

This position is located in our West Perth office and you will report to the Senior Product Specialist.

This will be available for approximately - 4 months. Ideally you can work full time in your university holidays. Alternatively the hours and days worked can fit in around your current university timetable. Options can be discussed.

What you'll do

  • Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings in NX
  • Conduct 3D scans & inspections of used wear parts
  • Help evaluating wear profiles of used wear parts
  • Take part in product development for RTD & customer cases
  • Assemble presentations of development proposals and take part in the customer meetings
  • Provide feedback to technical enquiries
Who you are

  • You will be a year 2 4 university student, studying Engineering (or similar)
  • A high eagerness to learn, develop and succeed. Curiosity is a must
  • A positive, cando mindset and a proactive approach to work
  • A customer focused and innovative mindset, and problemsolving skills
  • An ability to work as part of a team, while also working independently on certain tasks
  • Intermediate skills with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and NX. Skills from Inventor or SolidWorks translate well.
  • Excellent communication skills in English is required
  • Able to pass our preemployment checks including a medical check
