Position Information:


Barrack Heights Public School (est 1976) is located within the scenic coastal township of Shellharbour on the New South Wales South Coast Region.

The current school population comprises approximately 190 students from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

Selection Criteria:


Approval to teach infants and primary K-6 with demonstrated excellence in developing quality, differentiated literacy and numeracy programs that cater for individual student needs.

Proven ability to use assessment to plan and deliver evidence-based teaching practices and increase student engagement.


Outstanding teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to make a broader contribution to the school and community through leading and supporting a culture of collaborative growth.


Exceptional classroom management skills and ability to develop a positive classroom learning environment through high impact teaching strategies that support student engagement and wellbeing outcomes for a diverse range of students.


Capacity and commitment to creating enriching opportunities for students through extra-curricular programs such as, but not limited to Aboriginal Education, STEM, Sport and HPGE enrichment.
