Administration Officer - Health Information Service (Correctional Health)


Employment Type: 2 x Maximum Term Full Time until 2026

Hours per week:
Up to 38 hours per week (7 day rotating roster)


Position Grade:
Administration Officer Level 3


Salary:
$62,525.58 to $64,583.50

St Vincent's is contracted by leading service providers MTC Broadspectrum to deliver health services to Parklea Correctional Centre - a major Sydney prison with capacity for 1,816 male inmates.


About the role


A vacancy exists in the above unit within the Parklea Corrections Complex for a highly motivated Administration Officer with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team.

The successful applicant(s) will be expected to provide Health records and information to internal and external customers of the Health Information Department as well as assist with other Administration and Clerical Task.

The successful applicant(s) must be available to pick up shifts at short notice and be available to work Monday to Sunday including public holidays.

Selection Criteria

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
  • Recent experience in a hospital medical information department or administrative role.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate understanding and commitment to the concept of privacy and confidentiality of patient/client personal health information.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines while factoring in the impact on other roles, all with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, while working effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to retrieve and file medical records, which may involve use of manual handling equipment and physical ability to use a photocopier.
