About the role:


A vacancy exists for a highly motivated Risk Specialist with appropriate knowledge and skills to join the NSW arm of a leading not-for-profit Australian healthcare provider, St Vincent's Health Australia (SVHA).

Working as part of a friendly and supportive in-house Legal and Risk Unit, this role provides a unique opportunity to carve out your own space providing enterprise risk management advice and services across a range of health facilities and research institutes.

SVHA has been providing health care in Australia for 160 years and is recognised as a clinical and education leader nationally and internationally.

Selection Criteria:


  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia
  • Tertiary (or equivalent) qualifications.
  • Current membership or eligibility for membership to the Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA), the Governance Institute of Australia or the Australia New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to prepare and present briefing papers and reports for a range of audiences, including management and boards.
  • Experience developing partnerships, eliciting cooperation and working effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Highly developed organisational and project management skills.
