SBS Technology
SBS Technology can be thought of as the 'engine room' of SBS.

Our primary role is to enable and support the production, distribution, and transmission of content across television, radio, and online platforms.

Our teams achieve this by working collaboratively to design innovative solutions and deliver end-to-end services for our business stakeholders.


The Role
Reporting into the Melbourne and Canberra Infrastructure Manager within our Infrastructure team this role will see you:

  • Be responsible for maintaining and supporting the operation of broadcast and IT equipment used in the ongoing broadcast and content creation.
  • Be available for a stable 2 day a week commitment, with the possibility to pick up extra on an 'as needed' basis.
  • Play a significant role in a large router replacement project that will see the replacement and uplift of our radio studio equipment, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Play a key part in our support for the World Cup broadcasts.

About you

Ideally, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Broadcast engineering in a Television or Radio Environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with AES67 and networked audio.
  • Experience working with audio and video playout systems and Media Asset Management systems.
