Description

Our Client is looking for an outstanding Transport allocator / Supervisor.

The purpose of this role is to Ensure the efficient and cost effective movement of scrap metal to and from vendor and company sites by optimising the use of transport resources, to meet and surpass customer service targets whilst adhering to legislative and company requirements.

The hours are Monday to Friday 6am till 2.30 pm and located in Kwinana Beach.

Intermediate computing skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Good time management and organisational skills
Ability to work with mínimal supervision
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong literacy, numerical and negotiation skills
Good people supervision & interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, seek answers to questions whenever in doubt, to think laterally, and to work flexibly in a team environment
High level scheduling & planning skills
Attention to detail
Data analysis/interpretation skills

Knowledge

Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, minimum Cert III level preferred
Knowledge of the Competition and Consumer Act, Chain of Responsibility legislation,
Road Transport rules and regulations and other relevant legislation;
Knowledge and understanding of ferrous and non ferrous scrap metal transport options as well as processing techniques;
Knowledge of applicable systems including KMI, Talcasoft, MEX
