As a Learning and Capability Specialist you will be responsible for designing and delivering learning initiatives to enable our Victoria Workers Compensation teams to be successful.

You will be partnering and consulting with stakeholders, influencing learning outcomes, designing, and delivering learning based on Adult Learning Principles, enabling a life-long learning culture, and supporting business success.


This is a hybrid role,
required to work in the Melbourne office at least one day (preferable two) per week. Applicants must be located in Victoria.

You'll be responsible for

  • Utilise contemporary adult learning principles and techniques to develop and deliver learning and capability solutions.
  • Deliver a broad range of personal injury division programs from induction to upskilling and career development programs across our Victoria Workers Compensation teams. You will utilise many delivery modes and channels, with a strong emphasis on selfservice learning.
  • Drive a continuous improvement approach to the learner capability and experience to ensure effective embedding of learning and capability through evaluation of success metrics.
  • Balance the learner experience and innovation with a commercial lens through modern and 'fit for purpose' adult learning methodologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders' enterprisewide across Allianz, external regulatory bodies and Allianz global to leverage existing learning, drive scale, improve efficiencies, and build enterprise mindset.

About you

  • Solid understanding of Victoria Workers Compensation, or WorkSafe Victoria, and/ or strong Workers Compensation insurance experience in a large matrixed, regulated and customer focused organisation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment managing risks, project deliverables, stakeholder challenges, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret complex information, extract meaningful insights, provide effective options, and influence decision making.
