The Opportunity


Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, Group Finance; you will help support the group's business planning, forecast and reporting functions and strategic projects.

This role is an opportunity for someone with a strong analytical & management accounting background to become a true business partner, working across finance and the operational teams within the organisation to support key decisions.


Having a keen eye for detail; you will provide high quality financial and commercial insight and analysis to Aveo's business leaders, investor stakeholders and financiers to enable them to make accurate and informed decisions with a strong focus on Overhead analysis within the Corporate Service Division but also extending across the business into other business units.

You will

  • Act as Digital, Data & Transformation Business Partner, working closely with DD&T CIO in delivery of analysis on the IT investment spend portfolio.
  • Support General Manager Corporate Services in delivery of annual budget & 5 year business plan.
  • Assist General Manager Corporate Services in identifying and reporting trends and providing assistance in execution of commercial initiatives to ensure that Corporate management expenses are controlled and meet budget.
  • Answering ad hoc queries from the CFO, EGM, Investors & Executive Leadership team regarding historic and forecast overhead spend/analysis.
  • Work closely with P&C team in analysing Corporate FTE trends, providing insights & delivery of valueadd analysis.
  • Be responsible for scenario and overhead analysis as required.
  • Support General manager Corporate Services in delivery of strategic projects.
  • Interrogate and understand forecast vs actual variances and feeding proposed adjustments back into forecast models.
  • Develop strong relationships and provide financial and commercial insights to the business leaders of Aveo to support their decisionmaking.
  • Support wider Group Finance team in process improvement to help drive improvements and / or cost savings across Corporate Services.
What you'll bring

  • Business degree, Commerce degree or similar advantageous but not essential
  • Experience in an analyst or similar commercial role with exposure to management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to analyse financial information and understanding its impact and assess outcome and deliver valueadd analysis.
  • Production of analysis and insight to drive performance and strategy.
  • Familiarity with management accounting.
  • Previous Business Partnering experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to present complex financial information in a way that is understood by nonfinance stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in achieving results and ability to prioritise work in accordance with reporting needs.
