We're seeking a Team Leader to join our Food Services Department in a permanent, full-time position at The Wesley Hospital.

Remuneration Value:

The role:


  • As Team Leader, you will be responsible for the delivery and supervision of all front of house activities within the Food Services Department.
  • Providing hands on leadership, you will be involved in day to day operations such as meal preparation and food delivery, processing and assisting customer meal orders utilising our new digital menu software, maintaining stock levels and minimising food wastage and providing a highlevel customer experience.
  • Managing staff rosters effectively to ensure full coverage, the Team Leader will also provide flexibility to rotate through all shifts to support the team, complete progress reports, appraisals and assist in the recruitment of new employees into the Food Services Department.
  • This position is required to work across a roster spanning Monday to Sunday (inclusive), between the hours of 5:00am and 9:00pm, on a 7day rotating roster.
  • To be successful, you will demonstrate:
  • Entry level food safety for the Health & Community sector
  • HLTFSE00
  • Certificate III in Hospitality _(desirable but not essential)_
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in a food service and/or hospitality environment providing customer service
  • Demonstrated understanding and competencies in manual handling training, chemical use, hand hygiene and food safety
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several tasks at a time, using initiative and flexibility
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to read, measure accurately and perform basic math skills
  • Sound computer literacy and good telephone etiquette
