About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Client Investment Administrator to join our team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the key responsibility of this role will be to ensure client investments are maintained in accordance with the Legal Profession Uniform Law.


Further responsibilities will include:

  • Arranging withdrawals or closing investment trust accounts as required
  • Processing deposits and withdrawals and reconciling the controlled monies ledger to bank statements to ensure all transactions have been recorded correctly
  • Creating or updating financial statements for all relevant parties at closure of the account, financial year end or as otherwise required
  • Preparing information on investment accounts for inclusion in the annual trust audit reports, as per the Legal Profession Uniform Law
  • Assisting trust account auditors with any queries they may have in the audit of the firm's trust accounts, and assisting the Finance Supervisor in preparing the firm's annual audit reports


You will also work with the wider finance team to ensure the Accounts department operates efficiently, including by providing assistance in responding to general accounts enquiries.


This is a full time position with a standard 37 1⁄2 hour working week however due to the nature of the role, additional hours may be required during critical periods.


About you


Ideally, you will have experience working within a finance team (for example, in Accounts Payable/Receivable) and you will be looking to make the next move in your career.

You will also have the following skills and experience:


  • Trust Account experience
  • Understanding of Trust Account Rules
  • Strong communication skills for internal and external liaison
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • A high sense of confidentiality and discretion
  • Excellent time management skills to meet cyclical demands
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks
  • Familiarity with the use of Word, Excel and a computerised practice management system such as Expert.
