The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective and specialist support to electrical requirements
  • Ensure optimal team performance and capability by providing day to day leadership, deployment, mentoring, development and corrective action.
  • Develop maintain and strengthen relationships with customers, suppliers and all stakeholders.
  • In conjunction with department SME's and external contractors to provide specialist and technical assistance as required for mechanical and civil engineering query.
  • Supervision and management of the Engineering team
  • Perform or supervise electrical fault level calculations and protection studies for high voltage systems
  • Compilation or review of engineering design reports for submission to clients, management and regulatory authorities as required
  • Design of schematic and layout drawings
  • Review of Cad based schematic and layout drawings with modification as required
  • Liaise with client's technical staff and visit potential job sites, as required, to verify project needs.
  • Advise Sales team on specific design issues and propose engineering solutions.
  • To ensure competent engineering performance throughout the project delivery, operational and return phases
  • Perform due diligence reviews of electrical installations at both design and operation stages as required
  • Carry out onsite engineering reviews.
  • Specification and procurement of engineering equipment and services
About You

  • Electrical Engineering qualification with in excess of 6 years industry experience in an electrical power systems business. Exposure to power generation, high voltage systems and project management would be highly regarded
  • Progress towards or attainment of Certified Practicing Engineer qualification
  • A good communicator, both written and oral.
  • Available to travel on a national and international basis.
  • Strong computer design skills
