Are you an experienced and visionary leader with a passion for driving success in the world of commercial construction? We're seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager or a motivated Senior Contracts Manager to take the next step in their career.

The successful applicant will form part of our client's commercial construction team with a focus of Health, Defence, Residential, and Commercial projects.

Role Overview:

As the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial, contractual, and operational success of multiple projects.

Your strategic thinking, leadership, and negotiation skills will be critical in driving profitability, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring project delivery within budget and timeline.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll be at the forefront of driving growth and achieving our client's goals. This role reports directly into Senior Leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective commercial strategies to maximise project profitability.
Lead contract negotiations, manage procurement, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Foster and maintain strong client relationships, addressing concerns and identifying opportunities for additional value.
Collaborate with project teams to oversee cost forecasting, financial reporting, and risk management.
Provide guidance and mentorship to the commercial team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform decisionmaking.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role within the commercial construction sector.
Experience with projects in excess of $50M.
Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets, costs, and procurement effectively.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.
Leadership experience, capable of motivating and developing a highperforming team.
