    The firm & The Role

    Our client is a multi-award winning law firm with a leading environment & planning team and they are looking to recruit an environment & planning lawyer with around 1 to 5 years pae.

    This role will see you gaining experience in Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, Class 4, Class 5 and Class 6 proceedings.

    This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain experience in planning appeals, enforcements & judicial reviews, prosecutions. There will also be opportunity to get involved in advisory work, especially in relation to environmental law generally and climate change issues.

    The client base is a mix of major property developers, major construction companies as well as government agencies and councils.

    There will be partner access and partners at this firm are approachable and friendly.

    The role has come about due to growth: new clients and new instructions.

    About You

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Around 1 to 5 years post admission experience in environment & planning law (lawyers working in-house or in govt are encouraged to apply)
    • Sound technical skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a committed team but also autonomously
    • Ability to work under pressure and juggle competing deadlines
    • A passion for the environment & planning law area
