The Governance and Portfolio Services Division is responsible for delivering high-quality services and advice that supports and empowers the transport portfolio to make good decisions, and to provide confidence that risk management, behaviour, performance, and service delivery is continuously improving.

About the Opportunity

This role will provide support to the risk team in delivering Department wide risk services, ensuring integration between the strategic and operational risk profiles and actively contribute to improvements to established business processes.

The Advisor will partner with business areas to provide support and guidance during the assessment and mitigation of strategic and/or operational risks.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide sound and accurate risk advice to key stakeholders in relation to risk management requirements.
  • Hold Risk workshops to manage the identification, collation and input of risk
  • Support the business areas to review current processes for control deficiencies and recommend process improvements
  • Engage with business areas to promote and provide risk management awareness and training to drive consistency and compliance
  • Ensure stakeholders are provided timely, clear and responsive support and advice
  • Support and contribute to safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.

Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory

  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to the management of risks within a complex organisation, including stakeholder management.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Desirable

  • Formal qualifications in risk management or a related field
  • Experience in PowerBi
