About the Role


This role will be responsible for the recruitment to the future public transport ticketing project and play a crucial role in building a team of talented individuals who will shape the future of ticketing system.

This project represents an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation in public transportation and contribute to the development of new payment options that will benefit thousands of Victorian commuters.


The Talent Acquisition Advisor is responsible for the coordination of the end-to-end recruitment processes and services to the Department to ensure efficient delivery of their recruitment requirements in a timely and efficient manner.

The role requires strong attention to detail strong organisational skills and be an effective communicator. Working closely with the Talent Acquisition team and the project team to deliver on people objectives in regard to new talent for the business in a highly specialised area of the Transport network

In this exciting role you will be responsible for managing multiple end to end recruitment processes, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with hiring managers, and providing exceptional customer service in all recruitment activities.


Key Accountabilities


With your advanced communication and interpersonal skills, you will confidently influence and negotiate on recruitment decisions, provide authoritative advice, and ensure that recruitment activities are planned and delivered within agreed timeframes.

You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate recruitment documentation and providing support and guidance on recruitment systems.


Key selection criteria

  • Showcase your recruitment skills with expert judgement, modern talent attraction techniques and innovative approaches.
  • Use negotiation and influencing skills to make sound judgements and provide advice to hiring managers and team members, with the ability to think and work flexibly
  • Ability to work autonomously, selfmanage and prioritise work to ensure the provision of quality and timely services to the business, this includes an ability to multitask working to tight timeframes, in a fastpaced environment
  • Provide advice and recruitment solutions with emphasis on customer service and care through active engagement
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to develop innovative, simple and effective solutions to identified issues.
  • Previous experience in a project environment and the ability to achieve outcomes within timelines.

Qualifications and experience

Desirable

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or relevant recruitment experience.
  • High level demonstrated experience in using the VPS recruitment systems, a good understanding of processes and reporting would be an advantage.
