The Global Lending team provides, Corporate Lending services, Lending Administration and Loan Management for the Institutional Banking & Market and Business Banking portfolio.

The service team is accountable for establishing lending facilities and the subsequent management of the facilities through the end-to end loan process.


The team is responsible for managing direct customer relations and multiple stakeholders, delivering exceptional service and providing expert advice on complex lending, loan terms and conditions, deal execution and risk management.


The Role.

You will be responsible for contributing to the servicing of Institutional and Corporate clients by managing and maintaining the corporate lending portfolio.

You will manage requests and queries spanning across establishment, maintenance covering products like Cash Advance Facilities, Overdraft, Bank Guarantee Facilities and Multi Option Facilities (including sub products)


You will help facilitate the execution of new transactions by effectively engaging upstream and downstream teams to establish accounts to allow funding to occur.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with these stakeholders and business partners within CBA including Relationship Management teams, Product Management, Risk, Origination and operations team to ensure our clients are well serviced.


On any given day you will:

  • Manage the lending relationships with our clients, by acting on enquires relating to Cash Advance Facilities, Overdraft, Bank Guarantee Facilities and Multi Option Facilities (including sub products).
  • Facilitate and implement complex lending transactions in systems that are unique to Institutional Banking.
  • Ensure effective legal documentation interpretation and extraction to upload to relevant systems.
  • Provide all 'life of loan' support, including confirmation of CPs, first drawdowns, prepayments, terminations and general maintenance referring to the governing facility agreement for permitted requests.
  • Calculate facility fees, prepare invoices, peer review calculations and follow up outstanding payments as required
  • Maintain effective client records within the Deal Management System for audit trail purposes

We're interested in hearing from people who have:
Excellent attention to detail with some experience in Corporate Loans, complex lending, or various corporate lending products.

You will be able to recognise and prioritise competing priorities, will have experience building and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal & external stakeholders and clients.


You will also have:


  • Knowledge of Corporate Loans or Syndicated & Bilateral lending practices and processes
  • Knowledge of the Loan IQ system
  • Be commercially focused with strong analytical skills, including the ability to understand and analyse loan and facility agreements.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and contribute to a dynamic working environment, but also work effectively in an autonomous capacity
