Description

The Parliament House of New South Wales is undergoing an upgrade of Audio Visual and ICT Technologies across our events spaces, committee rooms, electorate offices (EO), parliamentary chambers, studios and control rooms.

We are looking for experienced operators on a casual basis to put together, configure and operate integrated equipment for hybrid events comprising of video conferencing, audio mixing, live streaming and setting up multiple PTZ cameras.

You will be across the latest video and audio technology and experienced in supporting advanced AV installations.

This is a client-facing role supporting and requiring, excellent troubleshooting skills while under the pressure of working with the Members of the Parliament (MPs), their teams, as well as their clients.

Responsibilities:

Liaising with Event Organizers and presenters to discuss audio and video requirements.
Setting up AV equipment installing microphones, lights, video monitors, projectors, speakers, and video cameras.
Laying electrical, data and sound cables.
Conducting sound, visual, and performance quality checks on AV equipment.
Inspecting AV setups to ensure they conform to health and safety regulations.
Operating sound and visual equipment during live events.
Troubleshooting equipment and ensuring events run smoothly
Maintaining strong customer relations.
Packing up after the events and ensuring equipment is secure and maintained for the next event.
Maintaining AV equipment to ensure technology meets operational standards
