- Consult with stakeholders and analyse existing data schemas to establish the foundation definitions of the Master Data Assets.
- Conduct requirements gathering workshops with diverse stakeholders including both business stakeholders and technical experts, from practitioners to executives.
- Analyse and document Business Entities as Data Assets, including all data elements and their associated synonyms, lineage, business rules.
- Gather requirements and develop technical specification documents such as business requirements documentation, report functional specifications, system requirements specification etc.
- Gather requirements for business processes to inform Data Dictionary and Meta Data Library, providing further detail for each data element in the Master Data.
- Document Business Glossary, to define Master Data in common, business language and associated business processes.
- Identify and problem solve issues/inefficiencies in current state source data.
- Assist in preparing requirements documentation for a master data management solution within a contemporary enterprise data platform.
- Document current state and target state business processes.
- Document data transformation rules and data cleansing rules.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess: - Strong understanding of contemporary data/business intelligence technologies and approaches and the supporting enterprise-level data governance/management required
- In-depth experience working as a Business Analyst in the data and analytics field.
- Ability to document source data and identify issues/inefficiencies in current state.
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate with business staff to help manage the decision-making process to define data definitions, including master data and master data management requirements.
- Knowledge of data platform and data modelling principles and schema.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Data Governance concepts including Privacy and Security considerations.
- Experience in M365 tool set, including MS Teams and SharePoint.
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple and different stakeholder groups concurrently.
- Demonstrated experience in working with cloud-based data transformation.
