We are currently supporting one of our valued clients in their search for a Business Analyst to join their Digital Division, focusing on a Spatial and Network Program.

This is a 12-month opportunity where the Business Analyst will collaborate on engineering projects, closely engaging with senior engineers.

Key to success in this role are strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, as the Business Analyst will interact across various business units and technical teams within both the Engineering and Digital divisions.

Requirements

The position requirements are as follows:

Work with business stakeholders understanding the engineering solutions and processes to be able to question why and identify flow on impacts;
Communicate with Engineers and Senior managers and work with SMEs, key stakeholders as well as field crews and Solution / Product Owners for the development of business process and workflows;
Facilitate workshops will Stakeholders;
Assist in creating and documenting Test cases for the loading into ALM Quality Centre;
Support project team/s to successfully deliver the project/s using contemporary tools and applications such as Jira and Confluence;
Ability to develop and deliver presentations that clearly articulate the issues and proposed solutions, in a dynamic / changing environment; and
Reverse engineer requirements from existing solutions if required.

Selection Criteria

Selection of the successful bid will be based on the following criteria:

Demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst in the energy sector;
Demonstrated ability in building effective relationships with business stakeholders and ICT service providers with the ability to negotiate outcomes in a complex environment;
Demonstrated experience working on engineering projects and spatial solutions, communicating to Business units and Executive level management teams; and
Understanding of Project Delivery life cycle and Agile methodology.

Desirable Criteria

Experience and knowledge of the energy industry with an understanding of potential future directions across the sector;
Demonstrated experience working with regulated entities and an understanding of the compliance requirements, including reporting and provision of information to regulatory bodies; and
Practical experience in project tools and applications such as JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint.

Duration

12-month contract with the option to extend.

Reporting Structure

The role will report to the Business Analysis & Initiation Lead.
