About the role

Due to growth within the region, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Relationship Manager to join our Digital & IM team for APAC.

Reporting to the Head of Digital & IM APAC in Singapore, this role ensures effective business relationship management for Digital & IM with strategic business partners/stakeholders within the Australian & New Zealand region.

As the Business Relationship Manager, you will work closely with a large and inclusive team of technical experts focused on success.

The Business Relationship Manager will have demonstrated leadership experience and possess a deep knowledge of both the working technical function and the associated business functions for Airbus Australia Pacific.

This role proactively serves as a "trusted advisor" and acts as a connector & translator to facilitate relationships.

They will collaborate and support the Digital & IM Domain/PSL leaders ensuring the strategy and operations are well aligned with business needs.

This role will support projects within their given scope and support their co-located IM team members as Proximity Manager.


This role is responsible to:


  • Ensure and secures strategic vision alignment between Digital & IM and Airbus AP
  • Act as an advocate on behalf of business stakeholders to ensure Digital & IM services & products meet their business priorities and needs
  • Establish and nurture close and productive relationships with Peers and Business leaders to create a wellbalanced, transparent, prioritized backlog of both transformational and business continuity objectives.
  • Represent Digital & IM and promote its vision, value, services, and capabilities
  • Identify room for improvement and activate Digital & IM's function proactively
  • Identify first area of savings
  • Handle and facilitate any escalations
  • Demonstrate the added value of Business Relationship management to Digital and IM
  • Report and communicate on Digital & IMs performance to the business
  • Act as Proximity Manager for colocated team members within the location.
About you

To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills.

You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.

The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role include:

  • Degree in IT/Information Management related discipline
  • Relevant industry certification, including ITIL (SFIA, COBIT, TOGAF, MCSE, MCITP, CCNA, etc.)
  • IT/Business Change Management experience and/or qualifications
  • Demonstrated effective leadership experience and welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills while working within a team environment
  • Experience in Documentation Production and Service Level Management
  • Ability to support group program and high complexity situations / Project Portfolio Control, Product / Service Planning
  • Cross functional and cross divisional knowledge and ability to transfer & translate strategy, requirements and regulations.
