The role


We are seeking and enthusiastic and skilled IT person to join our Information and Technology team as an IT Security Officer.

This fulltime role will all provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience as you work across the business on meaningful and challenging IT Security related projects that contribute to our organisational vision and the prosperity of our Gippsland community.


The IT Security Officer will utilise a broad range of IT skills to assist in managing network and security related infrastructure, analysing threats to the business, providing awareness to stakeholders and responding to security events ensuring action is taken in an appropriate and timely manner.


What you'll bring

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and maintaining IT or security related infrastructure.
  • An awareness of the cyber security industry and global threat landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen and engage effectively with relevant stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or a relevant tertiary qualification in an IT related discipline.
  • Proven ability to effectively utilise analytical skills to solve problems and challenges.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to build positive relationships and seek the best outcomes for the team and organisation as a whole.
