The role


The Buiness Intelligence (BI) and Data Optimisation Specialist will be responsible for providing vision and leadership for Gippsland Water in the enhancement and maturity of the business intelligence function.


An important element of this role is to support strategic priorities focused on efficiency in data management and use of data insights.

The role will also be responsible for initiatives that enhance data quality, data profiling and interpretation, data sharing, reporting and adherence to business intelligence development standards and guidelines.


The role leads a team of data analysts and is responsible for the governance of organisational data, including operational maintenance of the data warehouse environment.


What you'll bring

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in business intelligence and data management
  • Experience in leadership of transformational change
  • Proficiency in SQL and corporate business intelligence tools
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
