The Role

Due to increased funding and program expansion, this newly created position will see you leading our new Family Domestic Violence team, based at our Midland branch. The role is to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs to ensure contractual requirements are being met. You will guide the team effectively through providing practical support and direction over the following:

Two Men's Behaviour Change programs – inclusive of groups and perpetrator counselling and support service
Men's Behaviour Change victim survivor support services
Specialised Family Violence counselling

We are looking for someone who has passion for their work and is dedicated in supporting staff and clients. The ideal applicant will have a therapeutic and evidence-based practice approach, experience working with a range of client issues (such as offending behaviours and domestic violence) and experience supervising employees.

A Few Specifics

Team Leader for up to 7 FTE
Supporting staff by advising on complex cases
Regular management supervision with staff and group case management reviews
Networking with stakeholders, liaising with program stakeholders and attending relevant funding body meetings.
Reporting, reviewing statistics, contribute to management board reports.
Training staff on internal processes
Assisting with group facilitation when required

Selection Criteria (must be addressed and submitted with the application)

Recognised tertiary level qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, Counselling and/or related disciplines.
Specialist training and experience in Family and Domestic Violence services to perpetrators and victim survivors.
Planning and monitoring the delivery of men's and women's domestic and family violence services.
Well-developed communication skills, written and verbal.
Experience providing management supervision and leading group case management.
Networking with stakeholders, liaising with program stakeholders and attending relevant funding body meetings.
Ability to lead and work within a multiagency, multidisciplinary team.
Ability to work Monday to Friday with some evenings to 8pm.
Hold a current driver's license.
Current National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 12 months).
A Current Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one.
