  • Job DescriptionA typical day in this role could be:
  • Reviewing where vacancies are in the recruitment cycle and assisting the requisition owner with moving along the recruitment processes.
  • Processing changes of employment using the HRIS (ELMO) and updating the payroll accordingly.
  • Giving time to designated HR projects which are part of the HR Strategic Plan.


The HR team is headed by the Head of People & Culture (1 FTE) and reporting to this role is the Learning & Culture Specialist (0.8 FTE), People & Culture Generalists (1.4 FTE) and People & Culture Coordinator (1 FTE).


This vacancy is created by our current People & Culture Generalist (0.6 FTE) going on maternity leave (anticipated return date being October 2024).


This vacancy can be based in Manly or worked from home, but will need to be in Manly until confident with the role (we have great views of the ocean but no allocated parking).


Flexibility can be offered in how the 0.6 FTE is worked during the week and can be discussed more in interview.

This is a great position to see HR best practice in operation in a supportive team environment.

The HRIS used is ELMO and if you don't have experience with this system, full training can be given.

  • Desired Skills and ExperienceIn order to feel comfortable in this role you will need to have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or previous experience in a similar role;
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in human resources;
  • Experience working in a business partnering model
  • Experience in preparing HR reports and interpreting HR data;
  • Experience in interpreting and understanding awards and enterprise agreements;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent organisational skills and high level of attention to detail;
  • A commitment to exercising initiative and enhancing systems/processes;
  • Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office, particularly an intermediate knowledge of excel;
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines;
  • High level of confidentiality;
  • Willingness to work in a fastpaced environment and support coworkers.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in a health care & not for profit environment;
  • Knowledge and experience working with Sharepoint and HRIS
  • ELMO
