The Special Advisor - Strategic Land Use Assessment will play an important role in delivering components of the Strategic Land Use Assessment, with a work program across strategic policy, spatial analysis projects and stakeholder engagement.

This role will contribute to the key outcomes for delivery of the first Victorian Transmission Plan.

The role requires strong leadership skills, demonstrated ability to deliver strategic outcomes and spatial projects in a complex environment. Ideally, this will be overlayed by government policy and/or stakeholder engagement experience.


To excel in this position, you will have proven experience in a complex operating environment and ideally demonstrated experience in delivering GIS development or spatial analysis projects.


Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

Essential

  • Proven experience delivering high priority projects in a complex operating environment.

Highly desirable

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in Engineering, Public Policy, Science, Natural Resource or Environmental Management, Business Management of similar
  • Proven experience delivering GIS development or spatial analysis projects.
  • Knowledge in ArcGIS Online/Enterprise; PostgreSQL; FME.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Government processes and operations focused on policy development and delivery.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 2 years. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
