- Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate, validate, and manage requirements for changes to systems, business processes and data.
- Analyse and document business/functional processes and requirements using standard analysis methodologies and tools.
- Convert business needs into deliverable squad user stories using knowledge of system capabilities, rules, and architecture.
- Create test plans and user acceptance test cases, and support test execution.
- Identify project delivery issues and risks, assist with mitigation strategies, and escalate where necessary.
- Work closely with stakeholders and change management to identify impacts to business processes because of system or application changes.
- Evaluate effectiveness of crew tools, processes, and methodologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Liaise and collaborate with delivery squads and stakeholders as required.
- Advanced business and technical analysis experience.
- Experience working on technology delivery projects in Agile teams.
- Independently managing business stakeholders and requirement gathering workshops.
- Advanced knowledge of agile business analysis processes & techniques (i.e., User Stories, Epics, Use Cases, Business Process Mapping) using Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft applications
- Prior experience within a similar role within a corporate business environment, financial services industry or physical security environment.
- Knowledge of risk management, procurement, and property systems advantageous (such as ServiceNow, Ariba, Manhattan, Gallagher)
- Knowledge of SQL, API and data mapping advantageous.

Your team
The Business Platforms Crew, part of Group Corporate Services, is responsible for the product management, delivery execution and business facing support of Supplier Risk, Procurement, and Property Applications.
We work closely with the Group Corporate Services teams, Business Unit risk teams, Technology and IT Vendors to satisfy the needs of business units within CBA and subsidiary companies nationally and internationally.
This role will be part of the Business Platform Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Chapter.
About the role
As a Business Analyst, you will be gathering and analysing technical and non-technical business requirements in business processes and systems, through requirements elicitation, solutions identification, risk analysis and collaboration.
You will work with Product Owners and cross functional squads to deliver set sprint outcomes, including elaborating and writing user stories, defining user acceptance test cases, supporting squad delivery and test execution, and creating documentation.
