Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor

CROWN SYDNEY


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to join the people and culture team here at Crown Sydney.

Reporting directly to the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation and monitoring across a range of health and safety initiatives within the Crown Sydney property.

We are seeking an independent self-starter who uses their initiative and will closely partner with our various business units to educate and continually improve health and safety outcomes for our team members, customers and guests.


Some of the key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Property Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager in the development of a Health and Safety culture by promoting a proactive approach to risk management & injury prevention
  • Leading the property consultation channels including HSW Committees, Safety alerts and Toolbox talks
  • Supporting business operations in the identification, assessment, and control of workplace hazards
  • Coordinating the design and delivery of agreed health and safety risk management projects
  • Monitoring incident/hazard register to ensure all business units incidents reported are actioned in a timely manner and accurately recorded
  • Assisting and monitoring business units in addressing corrective actions arising from compliance programs, audits and hazard reports
  • Assisting the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager in development, implementation, and review of the CrownSAFE management system

Key selection criteria:


  • Minimum certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety, Allied Health or related field
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training would be highly regarded but not essential
  • Working knowledge of legislative requirements within Health and Safety/Workers Compensation
  • Previous working experience in a fastpaced, large scale organisation
  • The ability to build working relationships with stakeholders across the business
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
