Catchment Assessment Officer - NSW Government
A Catchment Assessment Officer is required by a NSW Government department on a 3-month contract with hybrid working arrangements.

Pay Rate:
$ $70.

Travel is required in this role - approximately once a week

Primary Purpose of the Role:As the Catchment Assessment Officer, you will be responsible for carrying out technically robust & timely assessments as well as providing recommendations in relation to the regulatory role in the Sydney drinking water catchment. You will also provide expert advice on State significant developments & infrastructure within the catchment including on stormwater & wastewater management.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Provide specialist water quality input to the development of assessment tools, guidelines, current recommended practices & standards
  • Provide expert advice on proposals external to the organisation including State significant developments & infrastructure proposed within the declared catchment area

About You:


  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a related discipline e.g. Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Planning etc.
  • Experience in Development Application & Assessment processes
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
  • Strong working knowledge of water quality impact assessments & management
