About the Role


The Governance and Secretariat Officer is responsible for coordinating, managing, and engaging with key internal and external stakeholders to implement and manage audit functions and governance across the Department of Enterprise, Investment and Trade (DEIT).


The Governance and Secretariat Officer manages and provides secretariat support to the Audit and Risk Committee who meet a number of times per year.


This role provides a unique opportunity to be part of a team who works across the Enterprise, Investment and Trade cluster and you will gain insight and understanding of the inner workings of a complex organisation.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain and develop transferable foundational skills.


About You


You have previously worked in a similar role with demonstrated skills in supporting the governance of programs and stakeholder engagement experience.

This role requires strong influence and engagement skills and the capacity to initiate and lead interactions with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Strong administration, document control and record keeping skills are key to your success in this role.

You have the ability to work independently and contribute effectively, whilst maintaining a high level of work ethic.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, can demonstrate excellent time management and prioritisation skills and is energised by the challenges presented in a complex and ever-changing work environment.
