ABOUT THE BRANCH AND TEAM
The Service Delivery Office (SDO) is a leader in providing services in the Whole-of-Government Shared Services Programme.

The SDO presents a unique opportunity to be involved in developing innovative service delivery arrangements, with an approach to collaboration and sharing of resources that has the potential to add value to not only existing customers but to set the scene for new ways of working across the Australian Public Services.


The Payroll team manages the payroll services to SDO clients to enable them to increase productivity and concentrate on their core business.

We are responsible for the management and administration of all payroll systems and processes associated with human resources data and reporting.

We are committed to consistently improving service standards through innovation, systems, and process enhancements.


ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**As a Payroll Team Leader, you will be accountable for ensuring the team meet daily and weekly goals and work is distributed to the team members equally and making decisions within defined parameters within your area of responsibility.

Key responsibilities of the Payroll team include:

  • Complex payroll processing such as complex termination calculations, processing leave audits and compensation processing and payments
  • Timely workflow ticket resolution
  • Responding to clients on a range of complex pay and employment conditions
  • Triaging of high volume client requests.
You will possess sound knowledge of payroll functions and be expected to handle complex cases with clients.

It is a team management and client contact role and you are required to provide advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
