ABOUT THE DIVISION AND SECTION
The Service Delivery Office (SDO) is a leader in providing services under the Whole-of-Government Shared Services Programme.

The SDO presents a unique opportunity to be involved in developing innovative service delivery arrangements, with an approach to collaboration and sharing of resources that has the potential to add value to not only for existing customers but to set the scene for new ways of working across the Australian Public Service (APS).


The Client, Strategy & Enablement branch within the SDO is made up of four sections: Client Strategy & Governance, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Services, Environment and Platform Management and Performance Assurance & Enablement.

These areas engage with a wide range of stakeholders to provide effective planning, decision making, assurance, risk management and service optimisation to enable our clients to focus on their core business and better meet community needs.


The Performance Assurance & Enablement Section measures operational performance and reports on the financial, assurance, risk and performance of the Service Delivery Office.

The section also provides support to the SDO through financial and procurement management, assurance and risk management, data analytics, pricing strategies, and client cost recovery management.


ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**The Service Delivery Office (SDO) Performance, Assurance and Enablement team is looking for a high performing, client service focused leader to fill an EL1 strategic financial management role.


The Assistant Director, Performance Assurance and Enablement is responsible for leading a small team to manage and govern the SDO's special account in addition to engaging with relevant internal and external stakeholders, development of costing strategies and associated budget allocations for the SDO, providing strategic financial advice and financial reporting within the regulatory environment, including the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act 2013.


Additionally, the team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the SDO Performance Reporting Framework and the associated reporting to our client agencies.

These reports provide details of the shared services delivered by the SDO to its clients against agreed service level outcomes


The SDO is one of five shared service provider hubs across the Commonwealth that deliver core corporate services to multiple government agencies.

The Shared Services Program is a Government initiative which will provide the applicant the opportunity to contribute to the transformation of core corporate service delivery across the Australian Public Service.

All Finance staff are required to have a minimum baseline security clearance prior to commencement.
