About the role:

Due to an internal promotion and growth of Aurizon, we are seeking to expand the Payroll Services team to support new initiatives.

Working with a team of highly skilled and technical capable payroll officers you will be coached and mentored to your full potential.


  • Provide effective customer service to Aurizon's employees and leaders via both the electronic ticketing system and incoming phone calls.
  • Fast and accurate manual data entry of timesheets, employees reimbursements, travelling allowances and study assistance claims.
  • Ensure compliance with governance procedures and controls to ensure accurate records for all employees.
  • Provide informed advice regarding employee entitlements in response to queries.
  • Participate in the ongoing review of relevant processes and procedures within the Payroll Services team.

About you:

  • You are proficient with technology and have a demonstrated ability to grasp new systems quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Approachable and positive personality
  • Have experience within a payroll function
  • Ability to effectively set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • An organised nature and time management skills are a must
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure complete and accurate entry of information
  • Ability to be selfmotivated and driven to work independently and determine and action the correct response/solution
