About the Role

  • Brand new team in our high performing Collections department 18 month fixed term contract

Credit Collections aims to minimise overdue accounts, prevent bad debts, whilst consuming the least amount of resources and upholding optimal customer experience.

The Functional Analyst supports delivery of positive debt performance and drives initiatives to positively impact the debt book.

What you'll be doing (Main key responsibilities)

  • Root cause analysis and resolution of operational issues, incidents and trends, and identification and delivery of improvement opportunities
  • Proactive monitoring, investigation and analysis of debt performance reports, metrics, forecasts and trends, on a daily and weekly basis
  • Proactively supporting positive debt performance outcomes for the complex collections portfolio
  • Recommending collection strategies (based on analytical insights, research and thought leadership) and once approved, execute through to completion.
  • Monitoring 'end to end' collections framework to ensure process integrity, working with key internal and external stakeholders for issue resolution.
  • Understanding, implementing and driving industry best practices regarding continuous improvement techniques
  • Monitoring and reviewing system process performance and integrity, implementing corrective actions where required
  • Maintaining full process documentation within AGL's process framework including process maps, work instructions, call centre processes, functional, technical documentation & dunning matrixes
About You

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Process knowledge and demonstrated experience in credit management and collections, ideally business/operational analyst in similar or related businesses
  • Able to analyse processes, recommend a solution & drive the solution to completion
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with focus on detail
  • High quality written and verbal communication
  • Experience with debt performance management and understanding of business drivers
  • Experience with process management and understanding of business drivers, preferably in utilities
  • Project and/or change management experience
  • SQL querying, execution and troubleshooting capabilities/experience advantageous
