About the role

:


The Area Manager role is to support the Service Leaders in each service to drive and deliver the company's strategic objectives of quality early childhood education and care while ensuring the overall wellbeing of staff and financial stability and viability of the services are met.

Your key duties will include but not limited to:

  • Working in partnership with our Service Leaders to implement systems and operational processes for the effective day to day management of each service.-
  • Support the Service Leaders to ensure consistent and effective delivery of the company's educational program, ensuring programs and practices are current and followed.-
  • Provide mentoring and guidance-
  • Ensure the safety, care and welfare of the children and their families is the highest priority-
  • Lead, mentor and positively develop relationships with families and ensure that each individual families' needs are met.-
  • Build and maintain open and supportive communication with practitioners, children and families of each campus.-
  • Maintain and develop positive relationships and effective communication with various external agencies.-
  • Oversee the strategic plan for each of the services and their offerings for the children and families.-
  • Ensuring the occupancy of each service is maintained at all times
    Skills & experience
  • Minimum of Diploma level Early Childhood qualification
  • COVID 19 Vaccination Cert or proof of vaccination
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current National Police Clearance Certificate
  • Current Medical Clearance
  • Current approved First Aid Certificate / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • A min 2 years' exp as a qualified educator in an early childhood setting
  • Sound understanding of the developmental needs of children aged 05 yrs
  • Strong Knowledge & exp of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF),
  • Strong Knowledge & exp of the National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Strong Knowledge & exp of the National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Effective communication skills with families, staff and children
  • Effective management skills staff (operational and developmental),
  • Effective leadership skills

Desirable- Business Management Qualification- Previous management experience

  • Experience working collaboratively with early childhood professionals from other disciplines e.g. health and welfare

As part of your role, you will be working with young children and those who are vulnerable.


It is your obligation to always ensure their safety and report any concerns that you have, in line with our duty of care obligations.


You will be required to regularly provide the necessary- Working with Children Check- Police Clearances- Reference Checks from a previous Manager.
