What you'll do:


  • Managing multidisciplinary design teams in the delivery of road infrastructure projects
  • Managing the SiD (Safety in Design) and quality aspects of the design to ensure a successful project
  • Mentoring and providing leadership, direction, and support to the design team
  • Driving a culture of collaboration, innovation, and future ready solutions
  • Managing internal and external design interfaces
  • Identification, justification, and quantification of technical, quality and assurance implications of change
  • Determination and implementation of design management controls, including data and digital engineering strategy
  • Monitoring performance of the project team to meet Client outcomes, delivering tangible benefits, and internal reporting on profitability and other metrics
  • Forming and maintaining positive relationships with our Clients
  • Contributing to business development by managing proposals

About you:


  • Relevant years' experience in managing the design of Roads and Highways projects for WA Main Roads to justify Principal level tenure
  • Relevant years' experience in a Design Management role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering


  • Chartered Professional Engineer

  • CPEng
  • ProjectWise working knowledge
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including experience making presentations to our clear clients
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience

Jason is an accomplished professional with over 30yrs experience across both the engineering and construction industry.

His experience and roles have included design and delivery, project management, leading and managing teams, providing specialist advice, seeking out new markets and working closely with Clients and Contractors.

This has provided Jason with a well-balanced appreciation of the risks and issues pertaining to design and construction, underpinned by valuable hands-on experience gained throughout his career.
