About the role:


The Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Manager is responsible for the overall demand management and Sales and Operations Planning processes, resulting in balancing of demand and supply efforts for all product lines sold in Australia and New Zealand.

This includes developing and implementing a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework to deliver value for money, risk management, performance management and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This role works closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and other functions to lead and execute best practices to improve customer satisfaction and enhance results for the business.


Key responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process including meetings related to product forecasts and financial projections, inventory plans, capacity planning, product end of life management, and new product planning.
  • Drives S&OP process to support actions that meet and exceed objectives on inventory goals, on time delivery, obsolete inventory, made to stock vs. made to order, etc.
  • Partners closely with key stakeholders to implement business strategies, validate forecast accuracy/methodology, and align financial and business plans with operational plans through the S&OP process
  • Establishes clear and robust KPIs to measure progress and their tie to business revenue and profitability plans.
  • Leading the endtoend Demand Planning process and team. This includes overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly activities of team members and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure data and reports generated by functions are standardized and suitable for the S&OP program
  • Ensures full compliance of endtoend Inventory Control Tower Process and oversees the subregional meeting program
  • Designing and implementation of a supplier relationship management program, ensuring it meets the business and commercial needs of the organisation.

Including, but not limited to:

  • Engaging with procurement category leads and business line stakeholders to understand organizational objectives, supplier landscape, and opportunities to create and strengthen the partnerships with our suppliers to deliver on our goals more effectively and efficiently.
  • Lead, define and develop a SRM strategy and roll out plan
  • Developing a supplier scorecard process and ongoing performance review program with supplier base
  • Supports the development of ANZ supplier service strategies including creation of bid packages which include MOQ, Lead Time, OTIF and stocking strategy requirements
  • Develop and implement a procurement contract sign off for all MOQ and Lead Times to ensure an optimized cost vs service vs inventory holding approach
  • Establishing a Service Level Agreement (SLA) program that define supplier performance expectations with key suppliers
  • Holds regularly scheduled joint relationship reviews with strategic / top supplier base
  • Hosts a monthly SRM review meeting with internal stakeholders to present on KPIs, action plans and initiatives
  • Develop a supplier forecasting process
  • Develop and implement a business terms sustainability program that supports data compliance and process improvements for order execution
  • Develop and implement a quarterly master data and safety stock review programme
  • Supports, promotes, and represent supply chain in the commodity coverage planning process
  • Air Freight cost control, reporting and tracking

Qualifications and skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics. MBA or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent preferred.
  • APICS Certification preferred
  • Experience working in Food & Beverage, Food Service or Ingredients / Flavour industries highly regarded
  • Proven track record in implementing and managing an S&OP process
  • Strong exposure to SAP ECC and APO essential
  • Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills, including multitasking and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, follow up and attention to details. Adaptable to multiple requests, daily changes and still deliver on commitments
  • Track record of being able to identify and drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives to develop a customer focussed
