Opportunity to work autonomously within a tight knit team

Exiting opportunity for a trade qualified Mechanical Fitter working as a Gas Turbine Valve (GTV) Technician, joining our Power Generation Team in Western Australia.

You will become a core part of a tight knit team in WA assisting the Senior GTV Technician and Engineering Service Manager to complete the mechanical fitting works required to assess and repair GTVs.

Works primarily undertaken in our Perth workshop with opportunity for some remote work at customer sites, on site works attract competitive allowances and penalty rates.

Along with on-the-job training there will also be development within the role through internal training programs and external accreditations where relevant to the role.

Successful applicant will be provided with pathway to supervision and leaderships roles resulting in long term career opportunities within Motion Australia.

About your role:

-
Complete a range of mechanical fitting tasks to repair GTVs
-
Inspection and repair of GTVs including testing and reporting
-
Checking accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies
-
Dispatch valves and actuators for the Power Generation market

Ensure a high level of safe work practices undertaken in our workshop and at site

About you:

-
Mechanical Trade qualification as a Fitter, Turner & Machinist, Light Vehicle or Plant Mechanic

Current Australian driver's licence Class C

High attention to details

Positive attitude, great work ethics, desire to learn

Excellent attitude to safety
-
Able to work on customer sites including remote locations
