About the Role


The Family Dispute Resolution Manager is a highly experienced Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) who provides clinical and operational leadership to ensure quality, outcomes-focused FDR services.


As part of our multi-disciplinary family law services team, the FDR Manager works collaboratively to provide integrated support to adults and children impacted by family separation.

Our suite of services includes Bankstown Family Relationship Centre, CatholicCare FDR Service, Family Law Counselling, Post Separation Case Management, Sydney Children's Contact Service, Child Inclusive Services including OWL Kids Group, and courses to support separated parents.

We assist clients through multi-modal service delivery at sites in Sydney CBD, inner west, south and southwest Sydney.

Some of your focus and responsibilities will be:

  • Engaging with your team to effectively manage professional development and supervision plans to build a strong team of practitioners
  • Driving initiatives and facilitating positive change to improve the delivery of client services
  • Carrying a small client caseload from time to time
  • Other duties as required for the program (see attached Position Description for more details)

About You

  • Accreditation as an FDRP and relevant qualifications such as a degree in Social Science, Community Welfare, Law or Social Work.
  • Industry relevant experience coordinating and supporting individuals and teams to deliver client outcomes
  • High level communication, consultation and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Established network of industry and community stakeholders
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Family Law Act, child protection, domestic and family violence and other relevant legislation
  • Experience using electronic client record management systems
  • The ability to travel
